Youngr Presents

You’ve probably noticed there’s a lot of talent floating around the building, but have you caught up with Youngr, and his awesome online music/video series, Youngr Presents?

For the past few months, the multi-disciplined musician/producer has been reimagining and recording some of his favourite tracks, bringing in some of the hottest voices, musicians, and some amazing camerawork along for the ride, to creating this unique collection of tracks + videos. Shot in single takes, the camera pulls you straight inside his MY90 studio – you’re right in there, up close, very much sharing the moment.

Aside from the rather visceral (and totally classy) visuals, the interpretations, arrangements and performances are top notch, fresh, and spot on. Apart from the incredible solo stuff (featuring Youngr’s rather broad musical skill-set), so far he’s collaborated with the likes of OFEI, ALX, and Pepper Rose (the latest one in fact, performing a truly butt-kicking fresh take on the Stevie Wonder classic, ‘Superstition’) – we’re getting the feeling he’s far from peaked with this series.
